Whit Waide Selected as MSU Student Association 2010-11 Professor of the Year (2011-05-31)

The PSPA Department and the Mississippi State University Student Association are excited to announce that Professor Whit Waide has received the award for 2010-2011 MSU Student Association Professor of the Year.

This award is a testament to the great dedication and passion Professor Waide shows for each of his students as well as Mississippi State University.

The recipient of this award is selected through student nominations. These nominations are thoroughly evaluated and the award is presented to the most influential teacher who makes an exceptional impact on his or her students’ lives on a daily basis. Each nominee is evaluated and a winner is selected by the Student Association Director and Assistant Director of Academic Affairs.

Student Association President, Rhett Hobart, said, “we are honored to be able to present this award to such a deserving individual who earnestly works every day to have his students succeed while learning in a fun environment.”

Student Association Chief Administrative Officer, Shelby Balius, served as the Director for Academic Affairs this past year. Balius said, "Professor Waide's influence is easily visible on campus, and we are pleased to be able to formally recognize his impact on students' lives as well as the University."
